Story
Toby is a very sweet and quiet dog. We adopted him in 2013, and at the time he was very skittish and shy of people with an unknown history. The vet suspected he was about 1 at the time, which makes him roughly 12 now. Toby has thrived since then, bonds well with people, and has been a gentle presence in a home that now has four small children. He still can be skitish of certain types of flooring or sudden movements, but loves to be petted and is a wonderful quiet companion. Toby is not a very playful dog, but prefers to find a quiet corner or just be beside the family. He has never been aggressive towards people or other pets in the eleven years we have known him. We unfortunately need to relocate to another state and are unable to take Toby with us, so are looking for a new loving home for him.

Story
This cowboy is Paul ❤️Paul moved in a few weeks ago after being dumped at pet cemetery with his siblings & a ball- A ball that we quickly learned was blocking his tummy. Surgery took place & with some recovery time Paul has really shown himself to be more than just good looks. He has been on neighborhood walks, social excursions in town, hikes, & fly fishing outings. While these activities hit a solid comfort zone for Paul, his willingness to participate is probably because he wants to be with his people & foster brother, Trout. Paul truly is one of the sweetest puppies ever to stay with us. He prefers to spend his time doing nice things with nice humans/dogs to have the nicest days. When Trout offers the regular activities (like chase & wrestle), Paul participates. He usually will not initiate. He only plays defense (no offense), which has the effect of quickly stalemating each match 😂. His preferred activities include; hikes, catching grasshoppers, unsuccessful rabbit & squirrel chases, nice naps next to his foster brother, eating good meals, running to the ice maker when heard, having a dedicated spot on the sofa & bed, touring the kitchen on food-smelling strolls and always having an eye on his foster mom. We expect foster puppies to have accidents, & needing a crate but Paul has already graduated from both. He is potty trained & although he is crate trained, he does not necessarily need one. He and Trout have been left alone up to 3.5 hours with zero issues (He is not a chewer). You may be wondering if Paul has any vices. He truly is the easiest pup I have ever fostered. He’s great around people (kids included), and walks with a loose leash. Paul does enjoy meeting new dogs, but doesn’t like a lot of dog commotion (ie hyper active dogs), but as he continues to gain more confidence, I believe this will subside. If you know someone with a social dog who would love to add another pup who is an extreme outlier on the sweetness scale, let them know about Paul. Paul is neutered, microchipped, & up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $350 to help cover his vetting.

Hi, I’m Hippity! My beloved foster humans call me Hippie or Hipp for short ☮️ I'm a true Bully Mix, mostly Bull Dog & some Pit Bull===100% LOVE!💜 Just a couple weeks ago, I was found wandering Clovis, NM alleys with a little friend 🐕 I made on the streets. When Animal Control picked me up, I was confused and so scared. I tried to make myself look small in the corner of my cell, maybe if no-one noticed me I would be safe🥺Gosh was I wrong! I heard I was “next” on the list, and that must’ve meant next to get the heck out of that scary place! My foster mommy drove straight down from Denver to break me out. She says I have come so far these last couple weeks 🌟 I have not had one accident in the house ✨ if I have to go potty, I will certainly let you know! I also don’t mind being in my crate, especially when my humans are running errands. But when they are home, I just want to be with them.❤️ I’m pretty sure I’ve had one of these things called a family before, but I’m not sure what happened to them…I have been learning about this big world, and realizing I really enjoy car rides with my foster daddy, taking walks around the neighborhood (I’m pretty dang good on a leash too!), and giving you my paw 💅 I don’t bother my kitty siblings, and I like playing with my foster doggy bro Chewie🐾 I live with 4 other canine pals and after I had time to feel safe, we are basically Homies now😁When my foster parents have their Homies over, I like to get in a couple sniffs and some treats first, then we are all friends 🥰 Ever since I’ve been a puppy, the only thing I have ever wanted was a forever family of my own. I’ve been told my Bulldog smile is so charming it might get me one…Hip is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $200🐾 Please submit an adoption application if interested in meeting this handsome sweetheart! https://dooverdogs.com/multi-step-adoption-form-1
