Summary of this Post show

Jennifer and I have been enjoying the RV lifestyle for more than 10 years now. All of those years, we have had small Class B and Class C motorhomes. So, we’ve had to learn how to make the most of our limited space.

Organized Obie has been a go-to RV storage brand for us, ever since the owner was kind enough to give me an extensive tour of their facility in Elkhart, Indiana. (You can watch the video below.)

At the time, we had just purchased a new campervan and he was even nice enough to go through it with me and give us storage recommendations. And boy, were we happy with his recommendations!

So, I want to share some of our favorite lightweight RV storage solutions that Organized Obie offers to help our fellow RVers make the most of their space. And, since we’re partners with Organized Obie, our followers get 5% off their order!

Our Favorite Organized Obie Lightweight RV Storage Solutions

Recently, Jennifer and I made a big change in our RV lifestyle: we bought a 5th wheel! We still have and love our Class C motorhome, a 2020 Leisure Travel Vans Wonder.

However, after 10 years of RVing, we’re transitioning to using our RV as more of a base camp that we’ll venture out from in different regions. Hence, the larger 5th wheel gives us more creature comforts and space to enjoy. So much more than we’re used to, in fact, that we’ve dubbed it The Palace.

But, despite all of the extra space, we’re still maximizing storage space and organizing all of the cabinets, drawers, and more. We’ve realized Organized Obie is just as useful for big motorhomes and 5th wheels as it is for small campervans!

So, here are our favorite lightweight RV storage solutions by Organized Obie. (Don’t forget to use the promo code RVLIFESTYLE at checkout to get your 5% off!)

1. 12” x 16” Wire Framed Net

This large-capacity net is sturdy yet sleek, so you can hang it inside cabinet doors, your closet, and pretty much anywhere this larger size fits.

It has a solid metal frame that you simply attach with P-clamps to any open wall or cabinet space. It’s great for storing magazines and remotes in the living room, shoes and bug spray by the door, towels and cleaning products in cabinets, and so much more.

Oh, and by the way, Organized Obie wire-framed products come in multiple colors!

2. 8” x 12” Wire Framed Net

This is the smaller version of the above wire-framed net. We organized a LOT of our RV using just these two sizes.

Jennifer was even clever enough to hang one horizontally underneath a kitchen cabinet as a fruit hammock. You’ll have to double-check your cabinet depth to determine which size works for your RV.

These wire-framed nets come in two larger sizes as well: 12” x 31” and 12” x 48”. These were too big for us in our campervan, but I bet we’ll be using these in our 5th Wheel Palace!

3. 8”x11” Plastic Framed Pocket Net

Jennifer and I mounted one of these by each of our bedsides. This size is perfect to store reading glasses, a good camping book, and even a book light.

The wire-framed nets could work for this as well, but Jennifer and I just preferred the look of the plastic frame.

4. 4”x9” Plastic Framed Pocket Net

This smaller net is perfect for holding your cell phone, even the big cell phones everyone is using these days. You can attach it under your dash, on your cab doors, by your couch, and pretty much anywhere.

Of course, it works great for any smaller items too, including remotes, kitchen seasonings, headphones, pens and notepads, etc.

These plastic-framed pocket nets come in two other sizes, too: 8”x16” and 8”x32”. The 8”x16” is great to have by your door for a flashlight, dog leash, and whatnot.

Speaking of dog leashes, they even have a Pet Bowl Essentials Kit that comes with a food and water bowl, leash, and plastic-framed net.

Get Wet RV Organization Products

What about bathroom storage?! Well, don’t you worry, because Organized Obie has several storage solutions for your RV bathroom.

First off, you can use any of the above-mentioned products, especially the smaller sizes to mount next to your sink. Plus, one or two of the other size in your sink cabinet.

What about the shower? Can their products get wet? The answer is yes and they’re even called “Get Wet Organizers.”

They come in 3 sizes and come with these nifty SNAD fasteners that work great:

  • 10”x12”: perfect for shampoo and conditioner bottles
  • 10”x24”: perfect for smaller bottles and razors
  • 35”x12”: vertical organizer for shampoo bottles, shaving cream, etc.

Bonus Recommendation: RV Bunk Bed Safety Net

Jennifer and I don’t have a bunk bed in our campervan or 5th wheel, but we do have grandkids! So we know that many of you out there might appreciate this product.

This RV bunk bed safety net is super strong and heavy-duty. In fact, it’s made from the same material Obie uses to make warehouse safety nets. So, rest assured, your child and their teddy bear will be quite safe at night.

It snaps in at the top like a seat buckle, so it works even for hideaway bunk beds that you close up in the morning.
