How many days do you have to pay IAA? ›

Payment - Payment for any vehicle awarded is due within three business days (auction day plus two business days; i.e., if auction is on Monday, payment is due by close of business on Wednesday).

This standard vehicle pricing is for buyers with no business license on file. Non-Licensed Buyers will be charged the Standard IAA Non-Licensed Buyer Fees for all purchases including Rec Rides and Heavy Vehicles.

Before the auction, you can place a pre-bid on a vehicle. The highest pre-bid will be represented by proxy at the auction. If you can't attend an auction onsite, securing a proxy bid gives you the opportunity to buy a vehicle anyway. You can set pre-bids on any amount of vehicles up to an hour before the auction.

IAA offers convenient Payment Methods including: Cash (up to $500 per day) Cash Equivalent: Money Orders, Cashier's Checks, Certified Checks, Traveler's Checks. Wire Transfer.

Registration is required by IAA in order to bid in our auctions. You can register as a Guest, free of charge (with no bidding privileges), or register for a bidding account as a Public (Individual) or Licensed Business buyer. Public Buyer: Public buyers do not need a business license.

You cannot cancel a bid placed for an auction, but you can lower your maximum bid if the pre-bidding period has not closed and your maximum bid exceeds the current high bid. You cannot cancel a bid or lower your maximum bid at any time during the auction.

As of 2022, eBay has rolled out a new rule that states all unpaid items must be settled within four days from the time that the buyer has finalized the order or has won the auction. Therefore, a buyer must pay for the sold items within that period.

The payment deadline is 3 business days, including day of sale (funds must be received on Copart account within the 3-day period). If not paid within the 3 days, a $50 late fee is assessed on each vehicle. The most reliable payment method for international buyers is wire transfer.

A registration fee of $200 is required at sign-up.

Buyer agrees to pay IAA a Dry Run fee equal to 1) $150.00 if transportation distance is 0-1,000 miles or 2) $250.00 if transportation distance is 1,001 miles or greater if Shipper cancels an order for transportation or redirects the order to a different location after 11:59.59 PM ET two calendar days before pickup.
